MOAA/RecruitMilitary Career Fair for Military Veterans and Military Spouses Coming to Tampa on November 14

The military-to-civilian recruiting firm RecruitMilitary and the Military Officers Association of America, an independent veterans organization, will present a free hiring event for job seekers who have military backgrounds on Wednesday, November 14, at Raymond James Stadium, home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This event, the MOAA/RecruitMilitary Career Fair, will be open and free to all veterans of all ranks and rates, men and women who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, members of the National Guard and reserves, and military spouses. At the event, more than 40 veteran-friendly organizations will conduct one-on-one interviews with the job seekers--organizations that will include corporate employers, law-enforcement agencies and other government employers, educational institutions, veterans service agencies, and veterans associations. The career fair hours will be 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

military-to-civilian recruiting firm RecruitMilitary and
the Military Officers Association of America, an
independent veterans organization, will present a free
hiring event for job seekers who have military

The MOAA/RecruitMilitary Career Fair will be held in
conjunction with the MOAA annual meeting, which will
take place on November 14 through 17 at the
InterContinental Tampa Hotel.
Other members of the career fair team will include
The American Legion; HireVetsFirst, a unit of the United
States Department of Labor; and the Military Spouse
Corporate Career Network (MSCCN). The event will be the
41st of 45 RecruitMilitary Career Fairs scheduled for
2007. During 33 such events produced from January
through September, an average of 30-plus organizations
interviewed an average of over 400 job seekers.
RecruitMilitary has scheduled 104 career fairs for 2008.

RecruitMilitary, based in Cincinnati, connects
employers with job seekers who have military
backgrounds. All of the company's owners, officers,
account executives, and recruiters are either veterans
or active or former reservists. In addition to career
fairs, RecruitMilitary offers subscriptions to its
database of more than 178,000 job seekers who have
military backgrounds, advertising in online and print
media, and contingency and retained hiring services. The
company mails more than 54,000 copies of a quarterly,
print newsletter called Incoming! to over 230 military
bases for distribution to transitioning personnel. The
company was founded in 1998.
The Military Officers Association of America (MOAA)
is an independent, nonprofit organization with about
360,000 members. Membership is open to active duty,
retired, National Guard, Reserve, and former
commissioned officers and warrant officers of the Army,
Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Public
Health Service, and National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration. MOAA plays an active role in military
personnel matters, including proposed legislation
affecting the career force, the retired community, and
veterans of the uniformed services. MOAA was founded in
1929, and is headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia.
The American Legion is an association of veterans who

HireVetsFirst was created by Congress in 2002 to develop
awareness among employers of the outstanding attributes
of men and women who are transitioning from active duty
to civilian life. The Military Spouse Corporate Career
Network was founded in 2004 to provide career
opportunities and job portability for military spouses.
The organization is made up of military spouses,
caregivers to war wounded, and retired military
personnel.
